Thanks to Xuan Ang and his generous family 6c managed to have a 3-day chalet stint at a 5-storey Mansion in Bedok area! Since no one is free to blog about it I shall try to give a summary of what we did on the second and third day as I only went towards the end of the gathering!

So I shall start on Saturday night when the class was BBQ-ing. I went to the girl's room and dumped my stuff there and went for a tour around the house. I can't remember how many rooms there are! I think there are at least 10 rooms and 10 toilets. HAHA. Amazingly BIG. Back tot he BBQ, I'm still bitter about not getting to eat my sweet corn. But anyway the food was not bad! Cooked! Edible! And TXA's mum cooked some nice bee hoon and fish so we had more than enough to eat. There was a cake too to celebrate Zhong's bday. Most of the guys were deep in conversation about army. They were speaking in a language I couldn't really understand cos there was so many abbreviation and army millitary terms that made me see stars. The attendance of the girls is poor to say the least. HAHA Beany, An Qing, Rae, Wan Ting, Zhu Yan and I. But it's a good time to catch up! I haven't seen Rae since the release of our results!

At around 10pm An Qing came and join us! Then TXA's mum chatted a little with us and she showed us the noisy fountain and asked us to come up with a solution. In the end I think it was the combine powers of Keth Loo and Zhu Yan that a possible conclusion to the problem was hatched. LOL we wish TXA's mum all the best and we hope it works! Boon Kiat brought The Magic Box so all the fun and out door activities that were planned for the night was pushed aside and the guys were hooked to the games room. Which leads to the secret room. HAHA. What a way to name the rooms in TXA's house! Anyway Jian Zhi, Ngee Kiang, Wan Ting and Rae all went home by 1am. But not after we clean the car porch!!

We were jetting water all over the place but the stains on the floor that were a result of the BBQ pit didn't come off. Out of no where BK managed to produced a bottle of Muscle Man which promises to remove stains from marble and parque but nonetheless we decided to try our luck. And it worked. Wow muscle man. And we finally found a scrub somewhere which was really useful too. And someone took a photo of BK scrubbing the floor! PLEASE POST ALL PHOTOS. haha. While we were cleaning the floor and discussing ways to remove the stains I had a thought that we seem to be in a reality programme not unlike Big Brother! LOL. But it was real cool the way we finally cleaned up and cleared up the mess we created.

So when everything was settled and we all retired into our respective rooms someone suggested we catch a movie in the Games Room. So after some persuasion cos all the girls were asleep, Zhu Yan, Beany and I crawled up to the games room and were prepared to enjoy Definitely, Maybe. LOL. That line contains a double meaning! This is why: almost everyone in the room K-Oed even before the movie could start running properly! We had difficulty getting the DVD to play the sound of the characters speaking. At first we could only hear the bass so we watched an almost silent movie with subtitles and all the background sound. Then later on the sound we heard was that of actors commenting on their roles and talking about the movie. To cut a long story short, the most enthu BK finally had a brainwave and used his PSP to play the movie. To say the least the movie was Maybe Quite good. And the survivors of the show were BK, ZY and I. Everyone else just SLEPT. After the show I was sleeping on the sofa bed and it was so hot that I woke up and went to the toilet. But when I came back Desmond was sleeping on where I slept! And so I was banished to the girls room to sleep on the hard floor as I failed to bring my sleeping bag. When I went back to check on the sofa bed's space availability I saw Jason, who was previously sleeping at the other end of the sofa bed, laying on the floor and Desmond was occupying the Whole sofa bed. Way to go . LOL.

Breakfast was mainly the food we had left over from the BBQ. And after eating we sat around and talked and talked and talked. Man, I'm so glad to be in 6c, I think we will grow old together! HAHA. Anyways, if anyone is interested, An Qing is flying off to Canberry, Australia on 10th of July and she's coming back on 5th December. Beany is flying to California, USA on 13th August and she's coming back on 21st December. Angie is flying to London, UK on 26th September and she is never coming back. HAHA no la Angie is coming back next year during her summer hols so it should be around july august period. Zhu Yan is flying to Cambridge, UK but hasnt booked her flight and should be in October this year. I don't know if she'll come back to Singapore or to China. Rae is flying of to Edinburgh, UK Scotland maybe late September or early October, she hasn't booked her flight yet either.

So yes we are all starting a new chapter in our lives! NS will be over soon too! ORD in 500 days? HAHA don't be bitter about NS, at least you learnt a new language!

since des let the bag out of the cat, oops, i mean, cat out of the bag, here's the main stuff you guys and girls need to bring.

in order of importance (roughly):

1. sleeping bags, mattress (the portable, foldable one maybe, if you want to carry it) or safari bed (those sort of foldable stretcher-like beds, the guys might know). very important! because there are no beds (i'm sorry.) pillow would be good too haha.

2. money. to buy stuff. 'nuff said.

3. towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, all your shampoo, body wash etc. unless you all don't mind sharing with each other then not everybody has to bring. except towels maybe =P

4. sports equipment, as des said, e.g. frisbee, rugby ball (touch rugby!) soccer ball, basketball etc. east coast park is very nearby!

5. entertainment. there MIGHT be times when it is too hot or raining (touch wood!) to go out to play, so some indoor entertainment is needed. i.e. xbox, cards, chess, chemistry notes (just kidding)

6. extra clothes. for hygiene purposes mainly. you can wear the same clothes for all the days but... yea i know you ocs / sispec people do it but this isn't army.

that's all i can think of right now. a few things to clarify:

1. the garden isn't complete yet (no soil yet), but the inside is complete, so yeap. and there is minimal furniture (in terms of number that is), hence i asked to bring sleeping bags and stuff.

2. my mom's quite particular about the marble and wooden floor =/. she doesn't want any scratches, so just don't drag any heavy stuff around the floor and it should be fine.

3. there's quite a lot of glass downstairs so just be careful. i.e. no kicking / playing of balls lol.

4. i don't encourage you guys to bring alcohol but if some of you think that you can't survive even without a drop of alcohol, then you can bring a bit (though i still think you all shouldn't). especially to those who got drunk at the last chalet, or very tipsy. especially with glass doors downstairs. i have personally seen someone walk through a glass door (no, not david copperfield style), and it is very painful just watching it. so i think it's better to play safe. oh and vomitting after drinking too much isn't very nice either.

one last thing. anyone can drive or got a car, and has stuff he/she might like to contribute/lend? or is willing to find some way to bring them? especially barbecue stuff and stuff like foldable chairs, tables, or trays, or bbq pit? or can even bring pillows or whatnot since i don't have any extra.

alrightey. the class chalet will be on 27th to 29th of JUNE, which is this coming friday to sunday.
For those who can, we'll meet at about 230pm at bedok mrt for buying the stuff we need. If not, for those booking out at 5 plus or at night on friday please make your way to the bedok mrt after bookout or work etc. I think for those who are coming later, we'll meet at 730 to 8 at bedok mrt to bring you to the place. It's ang's new house btw, so ya. For those who are coming later, if you can come earlier than 730 or 8 just inform me so i can meet u and bring u here. If u would just meet up at 7 plus 8 it would be ok as well, as every1 gathering at the timing coming is more organised.

For those who would like to contribute some cooked food like fried rice etc, pls inform me as well in case there is too much food like the previous chalets haha. Feel free to prepare anything u like, but just inform me or anqing first ;)

For those who think they'll only be able to make it from saturday morning, especially the guys who bookout late, pls inform me or anqing as well, as if we have the bbq on the first night and not many pple turn up it'll be quite a waste of food. So yes please inform either me or Anqing.

For the amount that everyone has to pay, it should be about 10 to 15 bucks. Hopefully that is fine for everyone. In the end if there is a large amount of extra money we'll split it evenly too, coz im not sure how much exactly we need yet, but definitely MUCH less than the previous chalet as we dont have to pay lodging fees due to ang's family allowing us to use it for the stayover.

Now onto other issues. For those who have basketballs, frisbee, soccer ball, or whatever you like to bring for sports and leisure, PLEASE BRING IT. Basketball courts soccer fields etc are very nearby to ang's house, as its near east coast park, so the area is perfectly suitable for sports. As for gaming consoles, for those who do not find it too troublesome please bring it as well as there is a big nice tv for us to play on. Lol jk thats not really the point but ya its quite an important point as well lolol. But ya pls bring it for those who dont it so troublesome otherwise some of us may find it too bored at the chalet. For those who have poker cards bring it! And for those who would like to bring their board games etc, or games like twister pls bring it as well, so there'll be more games to play when we're in the house. Yup. I'll ask the people who i know who have all of the above to bring personally first, for the sports equip etc. Other things if u would like to bring it please do as well coz it'll be fun =)

That should be all. If there are any queries about anything please ask me or ang, and if i'm lacking any info that every1 should know pls inform me as well. Hope we're all looking forward to it =D

Okay peeps, the chalet will not be on this weekend (13th to 15th June), as it will be inconveneient for most people, and will most probably be on 27th to 29th June. On the 20th(nxt weekend) there are still some people who cannot make it, and on the 27th probably everyone can if i'm not wrong. I'm confirming attendance for 27th now. For those who cannot make it on the 27th please inform me or AnQing ASAP. For now, tentatively the chalet dates are from 27th to 29th June.

Since the date is almost settled i'll just give some details. As I've said it will be in Bedok, so for those who can meet up on friday evening, we'll meet at Bedok MRT and proceed to buy the groceries that we need. We'll most probably meet up at about 4 to 8 pm. After that we'll proceed to the place. As usual please bring the clothes, slippers or shoes, bathing materials, anything that u need to make the stay enjoyable! Please remember to bring your sleeping bags as well(very important, unless u dont want to), as there are not enough beds to provide for all of us. Those who can bring speakers or mp3s pls go ahead =) Do bring enough money as well, I think all of us shud noe that le ba.

Okay, that should be all, if there's anymore details to add i will most probably put it on the class blog, so for those who can pls refer to it frequently. Hope every1 can make it on the desired date! =)

ALRIGHT PEEPS. its stayover time!

Xuan Ang has found a nice place of lodging for all of us to organize a chalet over hopefully the next weekend(13, 14, and 15th June). It would be quite a good timing i think, BK has block leave, and Zhong's Birthday is VERY near the next weekend so it'll be a good time to celebrate it too =) hopefully the guys are free over that weekend. The girls are going overseas soon so yeah this would be a nice time to do it i guess.

It would only cost minimal amounts to stay over at this special place, we just have to pay for the things that we need to buy(food etc) before we head over to this special chalet =D Details will be given very soon, as we have to confirm the number of people that will be able to make it first. I know that the OCS and SISPEC people may only be able to bookout on Saturdays, so we're making this stayover from a Friday to a Sunday. This will allow the people that can stayover from friday onwards first to be there, so that they can help with preparations first etc.

I sincerely hope that most if not all of us can make it for this chalet because it may be the one and only chance that we'll be having one. There are no long weekends until the month of August when National Day occurs so hopefully everyone can make it for the next weekend or the weekend after. By this time the girls would be overseas already. We can't do the chalet during that time because the some of the girls would be overseas already.

Those who can make it next weekend or the weekend after the next, please sms me or An Qing ASAP because I have to confirm the number of people. For the army guys, even if u bookout of Sat its ok, just sms or give me a call whether u can make it or not! this is very important and i hope u peeps will cooperate. After i have confirmed the number of people i will then confirm the date for this chalet! I assure everyone that this place is a super nice place, however the details cannot be disclosed yet due to several reasons. Its not some super mysterious thing or anything, but ya its mysterious enough. LOL what am i saying, HAHA who cares. SO PLEASE. SMS or give me a call as soon as possible to inform me whether u can make it or not for the next 2 weekends. VERY VERY hopefully u can make it for the next weekend as it would be a very nice time. BK just P-O-P and stuffs. If many people cannot make it on these 2 weekends, we'll have to find some other weekend to do this, or we'll just organize a potluck session etc. Yup.
