hey peeeeps.

Chalet will be on 25-27 nov. yeap. Very sorry to those who cannot make it.. those who are going for holiday and for those who have h3 econs or any other reason. Paiseh as i couldn't find another vacancy already, and some of the other chalets around SG were either too small or too expensive.

It will be at Aloha Changi. The ones at Loyang were taken too. But this one is bigger than Loyang's ba. can play hide and seek xD
i know that its very "ulu" at changi but we must try and make the best of it!

Again very sorry for those who can't make it =) Jiayou for mugging!

Sunday, September 02, 2007

yo all here's the teachers day picture we took with mrs uma chong! sorry it's a little late been so busy with work and the self-evaluation thing that i forgot to post the picture.

yep.

study hard all!

Saturday, August 25, 2007

haha hey everybody, must try and keep this blog alive! haha. hope you people are mugging hard!

anyway, i was thinking, since quite a few of us would be back in school over the "holidays" (note the inverted commas) to mug, i think we should just fix a location in school to mug! i.e. classroom or somewhere (though i'm a little afraid that we might get chased out... like on friday, a few of us got chased out of classrooms a few times). so i was wondering if there would be a way (if you all are willing of course), to have a system to say, for example, somebody reaches school first then messages everybody who is going to school on that day about which classroom he/she is studying in, then we can all study together! :)

(unless of course you want to study alone, then no one's stopping you either.)

not sure about using the class relay system, because i'm not sure whether certain people would like getting disturbed by the sms when they're still sleeping in bed (when they should be studying). but i think if nobody minds, the class relay system should be more than enough to get the job done.

so...?

anyway, prelims start in 2 days =( . but let's work hard, and all the best!

oh and to end off here's something that i found nice from a nike ad (which might or might not be related, but what the heck) :

"All your life you are told the things you cannot do. All your life they will say you're not good enough or strong enough or talented enough; they will say you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or be this or achieve this. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly.
AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES."

Belinda Chan Li Mei

This is a whole antire entry dedicated to our favourite girl-snake-sponge-bean-corn Ms. Belinda Chan Li Mei. Our dear beany has come up with a Quick-Change package. Popular amoungst the 6c girls when they change in the toilet for PE. Well, with this ever convenient Quick-Change, there is no need for changign rooms anymore. Nor is there a need for PE teachers to scream at us for being half an hour late due to the long quene in the toilet. Quick-Change has proven to solve all your changing problems!

From today onwards, readers can look forward to a step-by-step comprehensive guide on the Quick-Change trick invented and coined by our very own celebrity of the day, Ms Belinda Chan. Today I am given the previledge to inaugural the Quick-Change steps. Here goes!

1. Stretch your PE T-shirt. Left, right, centre, up and down.
2. Pull it over your head, don't put your hands through the holes though. You are to remain fully clothed till now.
3. Start unbuttoning, if and only if your PE shirt covers your entire upper body (maybe if it covers the vital parts, it's fine).

For more Quick-Change steps....STAY TUNED.
Impatience avid readers can SMS their request to Ms Belinda Chan, I trust you have her number, she's the celebrity of the day!
The most enthusiastic reader with the most number of SMS sent will receive a kiss from Mrs Uma Chong.

Our dear Belinda Chan has a rather long nickname and I am not sure if I can post it right here for fear that my head will roll tmr. After cutting so many heads for Lit week I think it's time someone cuts mine. On a side note, does anyone wants to watch Othello? Buy my tickets? Watch with me? You can sense the desparation right. Do feel something for a helpless soul.

Term 3 CIP

Hi guys!!! Please read this post as it is very impotant that you do not confuse yourself about the 2 major CIP that we will be doing this term.

First and foremost, we have the Olympic Dreams.

I'm sure most of you have a faint idea about what's going on, I hope you do, in any case, this is a reminder.
Yes, the whole of 6c is involved and maybe some superhumans on bikes who can do 100 rounds in 4 hours will be joining us too. Once again, the Ability Challenge (a proper subset of the whole Olympic Dreams '07 programmes) is at Toa Payoh stadium on 15th July 2007. Please please please keep the whole day free! And I need to stress that you can run, walk, cycle, roller blade, crawl - do anything! - but just finish as many rounds as you can! And to spice things up, we can treat it as a all in one session where we do CIP together as a class and also de-stress and have a class outing. HAHA. ONe last thing: invite a friend along! We are trying to clock up as many rounds as possible so if you can bring your whole clan down or something! LOL.

Next, Smile For A Mile.

This can be a little confusing so pay attention! Recently there has been an emergence of events that tie in both fund raising and exercising. The Ability Challenge is one such example and now we have Smile For A Mile which essentially is similar to the Ability Challenge.

But, with a twist.

The thing is this time round, we are the ones selling running tags to raise funds and encouraging other people to run a mile. (FYI: 1 mile = 1.6km = 4 rounds around the school track) The tags are for the runners to pen down messages to the handicapped from the Disabled People's Association (DPA). A total of 15 schools are invovled in this massive project funded by Youth Challenger. (The brains of the project are from NJC.)

The crux of the matter (NEW WORD! Uma Chong will be so proud) is we'll have to sell as many tags as possible. I already have the tags with me. In fact, I have 1,000 tags to sell so I have 2,000 tags in my house. This is because the runners will buy and keep one tag while giving the other one for us to keep. Each tag is for sale at $1.00 each.

6D is also invovled in this project and together we will be a formidable force, I hope. In light of recent gentle reminders by our kind teachers that the Prelims are just around the corner, we should start the project ASAP. This week we will be sending in the proposal for approval and hopefully by end of next week we'll be given the green light. Next week during the Thursday Civics slot, I will be going through in more detail the Action Plan (cause I haven't come up with one yet and I need to discuss with Li Bing and Andrew from 6D). I hope the above is crystal clear and that no one is confused. Meanwhile, since this is a class effort, do give me your suggestions (and full support =DD)

Olympic Dream '07

Hey people,

The Student Volunteer Corps (SVC) need our help in completing their Ability Challenge! As such, we'll be going down for the run from 1100-1400 on 15th July. Try to complete as many laps as possible within the time allocated for us. And don't worry, you can take breaks at any time along the way.

I think it'll be a good idea to go on wheels (rollerblading, cycling, wheelchair-ing[if you have]) so that it won't be so strenuous to complete a lot of laps :)

Thanks for your support people!

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

Hi guys, remember the flag day we did for SVC and SDSC?? We raised a total of $1,644.03!!! Quite a huge amount huh. Well done guys!

Anyway, SVC is organising their annual ACE and Olypic Dreams where they help raise funds for the paralympics in Beijing 2008. I think we will be helping them do fund raising. Agreeable? =D Please read on for more details. I don't think we can join the ACE thingy since we are all so busy and that requires a high level of commitment with a camp and an attachment. So basically for CIP we will help them raise funds. How we are going to do that, I will inform you guys further on later.

Another thing is that I am thinking of organising a class CIP to Sunlove Home for the Intellectually Disabled. We could go down and colunteer our services for 3days in the June Holidays. Agreeable? =D

A. Introduction
The Ability Challenge Edition (ACE) is organised by the Student Volunteer Corps (SVC) (Singapore). In this programme, we would like to encourage students in taking an interest in the disability sports scene and in coming forth as volunteer “coaches” to train the disabled community in simple and modified sports. We would like to see student activism benefiting the community and in helping the disabled adopt a healthy and sporting lifestyle.
B. Objectives
The objectives of ACE are to:
To inspire and empower students in understanding the needs of the disabled in Singapore.
To provide a platform for students to be actively involved in promoting youth volunteerism through disability sports.
To create and sustain the interest of participants in disability sports volunteerism.

Have a great week!! =DD

Friday the 13th

Today is Friday. Friday the 13th.
So what? Zzz..
It's the third last day that I will be at home. Don't worry guys I am coming back to school soon! =DD But I won't be able to talk properly for another 3 weeks. Was trying to look through the Math probability notes and I realised that half of it is crap and the real deal starts on page 11-_- How come no one blog about the class outing?!?! Someone should do it soon.

I was thinking od organising a class CIP during the june holidays. We can go to a home and render our services for 3 days. How about that? We'll porbably go to Sunlove Home for the Intellectually Disabled. Let you guys interact with the ID people there. HAHA. I went there before during the December holidays and it's not a bad place. Got lots of interesting characters. You guys will go away enriched. HAHA. But it's still tentative and open for chnages. So do give me your take on this matter!!

LOL (Lots of Love)
Angie =))
